This post continues our ‘Discover AA’ series. Each month a leaflet, article or short piece of literature is suggested that you might like to consider reading to help improve your knowledge of the AA programme and our history.
This month we highlight the article Leadership in AA: Ever a Vital Need written by Bill W. in 1959. It’s sometimes difficult to get to grips with the idea that AA has no bosses, no single individual to steer the ship, no figurehead. Nearly every other organisation around the world looks to its’ leader for guidance, but in AA things are a little different. But does no bosses mean no leaders? Bill responds eloquently to this very question in this punchy article.
