This post continues our ‘Discover AA’ series. Each month a leaflet, article or short piece of literature is suggested that you might like to consider reading to help improve your knowledge of the AA programme and our history.
This month we put the spotlight on the AA pamphlet, Many Paths to Spirituality. A common misconception about Alcoholics Anonymous is that it is a religious organisation. Since AA groups often rent space in churches, attending an AA meeting in a church hall can often reinforce that impression, and the possibility of hearing a prayer at the end of a meeting can further cement the idea for some. This pamphlet seeks to separate the truth from myth on the matter.
