“The strength of our whole structure starts with the group and with the GSR that the group elects” – Bill W.
Everyone is welcome to attend this useful and important workshop. If you are intending to come, please register by completing the form at the bottom of this post.
We will be sharing our experiences of identifying and introducing new GSRs to Intergroup and the development of these important volunteers to the role of Group Service Representative.
Tradition 5 – Each group has but one primary purpose—to carry its message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
We will be discussing our practical experience of:
- Finding a new GSR for your Group
- Introducing new GSRs to Intergroup
- Resources to aid new GSRs in this important role
The format will be highly interactive with the objective of enabling each group to determine how it can best carry the AA message in its locality and addressing questions like:
- Is your Group taking responsibility for finding GSRs?
- Who is eligible for the GSR role?
- How are GSRs introduced to the role?
- What exists to help GSRs develop in the role?
